Straps with Steel Bells
Steel bells can be put on new leather straps for sentimental reasons or for trendy home decor. The polishing results are inconsistent at best. In most cases, I recommend leaving the finish as is.

01
Rusty Steel Bells On Brown Leather Strap
Customer sent in rusty steel bells with the intention of leaving them that way. We left the finish on them and installed them on a new leather strap with an antique buckle. All hardware was antiqued to blend in.
02
Antique Nickel Plated Steel Bells on Black leather Strap
These riveted bells were sent in from a customer in Michigan. When they arrived, the bells were coated in barn dust and dried harness oil. It was very hard to see what condition the finish was in. I recommended just a gentle cleaning. The plated finish turned out to be in amazing condition. This was cleaning only, no polish. I made a new black leather strap and added a high quality matching buckle.

03
"Antiqued" Finish
I can patina new or polished buckles to blend in with old bells. This example is a fairly dark finish
