Rivet Bell Straps
Various types of bells that attach to the leather strap via a rivet. We have lost the tools and technology on how some of these bells were originally riveted in place. The industry standard today is a flat head screw and a cup washer. It makes for a very nice looking, secure end result. In some cases, especially with stamped bells, I will use a modified modern rivet. Stamped bells can have very thin bases and the use of a screw is almost impossible.
Riveted bells also come with the inherent risk of cracking or breaking. I take special precautions to avoid this from happening, but it can occur. In that case, you will be notified and I will try to place the bell on an inconspicuous part of the strap. In the event the bell becomes unusable, it will be returned to you.
